Visit to Parliament 'RAISING THE BAR'

I attended an event hosted by MIND on 13th September, it was a long way to travel, because it was held in the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London. It was a long queue to wait in, but it was worth it, because the paintings and sculptures were breathtaking! I even had a couple of selfies taken with the M.P’s in attendance.

Unfortunately, none of those survived, lol! However, I did manage a picture of the Labour M.P. Chi Omura below. There were a few speeches about the importance of mental health and then we had a buffet lunch.

Mental health is something that affects so many people, that I felt privileged to be a part of this event. It was a very tiring day, but also exciting and I hope to be able to revisit, so I can have more time to really take in the atmosphere of the building. If you haven’t been yet it well worth a visit.
